Wedding expos can be found in many cities around the country. They’re often held in chain hotels like the Hilton Garden Inn and Grand Hyatt, as well as event and convention spaces like the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles. Some rotate locales, others remain in the same space month after month. The Grand Vista Hotel Simi Valley along with event planner Carmen Escalante of A Perfect Event by Carmen, host Simi Valley’s first corporate and wedding expo on October 6, 2019.
The Perfect Event Expo is designed to bring the best and the most creative vendors in the event industry in southern California together under one roof so that clients can communicate with event experts. The event had less than 50 vendors and a good size attendance. Some expos are intimate, highlighting three dozen or so vendors for 150 attendees; others showcase 100 or more businesses to crowds of 600-plus. What makes this event so special is the vendors offered brides and grooms in-person contacts, not to mention prizes and swag bags stuffed with wedding items and discounts.
Like most expos, Perfect Event Expo offers photographers, videographers, cake makers, florists, D.J.’s, wedding gown designers, and specialists for hair and makeup, among others.
The expo also created experiences through live D.J.’s and band performances, fashion shows and makeup artists. Couples sample drinks and hors d’oeuvre provided by the hotel’s executive chef, Sergio Escalante. Travel representatives from Latin Escapes to luxury transportation service, Distinctive Carriage was among the vendors. The also expo providing giveaways, prizes and discounts to attendees.
Fashion showcase was provided bu Friar Tux along with Carmen Escalante and Best Day Ever Events by Theresa of Long Beach. The city of Simi Valley got exactly what they needed, an expo to show that it is one of the best places in Ventura County to host a corporate or special event.
