Ventura County Credit Union (VCCU), a not-for-profit financial institution, opened its second Oxnard branch location on Tuesday, August 22, located at The Collection at RiverPark, 691 Town Center Dr. Oxnard, California.
VCCU’s president and CEO, Joe Schroeder and chair of the board of directors Sue Tatangelo dedicated the branch to VCCU’s former chair of Board of Directors, Roxy Ostrem and her mother, the late Patti Shobe, who combined served on the board for more than 50 years. The Oxnard Chamber of Commerce, president and CEO, Nancy Lindholm made the grand opening official with a plaque presentation and ribbon cutting ceremony.
The decision to open the second branch was made by VCCU’s volunteer board of directors as a means to fulfill a growing member base and continue the credit union’s mission to deliver high-quality services in order to improve the financial well-being of its members and the community.
With the VCCU’s growing member base in the Oxnard region, The Collection at RiverPark is an ideal location for their newest branch, located in a central shopping hub, and will offer a full range of financial services, along with convenient ATM access. With the opening of VCCU’s additional Oxnard branch, free membership will be given to all new members who join the credit union by August 31, 2017 at the new branch.
“Many of our members reside in the city of Oxnard,” said Schroeder. “This new branch will allow us to better serve even further to Oxnard residents, east county and beyond by providing another convenient location with close-to-home financial services.”
The now fully operational Oxnard branch houses approximately eight employees and is open during the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday to Friday. As with all VCCU branches, Saturday hours are also offered from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
VCCU is a community-chartered credit union, extending membership to anyone who lives, works or goes to school in Ventura or Santa Barbara County, as well as their family members. To learn more about VCCU’s services or to become a member, call 1-800-339-0496 or visit www.vccuonline.net.
