Moorpark Veterinary Hospital is providing Camarillo shelter pet, Petey, with a one-time veterinary health care package valued at over $1,700 upon arrival to his forever home.
Petey, approximately 10 years old, is a senior pet with an incredibly calm and loving disposition. Although Petey is mostly blind, he has many good years to look forward to. By adopting him, you can change his life in more ways than one. Petey’s wellness package includes his adoption and licensing fees, senior bloodwork including urinalysis, intestinal parasite screening, one complimentary grooming provided by Wag n’ Tails, 6 months of flea/tick/heartworm prevention provided by Merial, and a dental cleaning including any needed extractions.
Moorpark Veterinary Hospital is a proud partner of Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS). They will be continuing their ongoing supportive efforts at the Camarillo shelter on Saturday July 23, for the 2016 Clear the Shelters event. Moorpark Veterinary Hospital will also provide any pet adopted this day with one month of flea and tick prevention and a complimentary examination to be redeemed at a later date.
VCAS, a no-kill shelter since January 2013, needs the help of the community to clear the shelters, one pet at a time. VCAS Deputy Director, Donna Gillesby, notes “VCAS is well above capacity with over 550 pets currently in our care. We always expect an influx of dogs following the Fourth of July celebrations but this year, since we have had so many pets at the shelters prior to the holiday; it has really hit us hard. VCAS appreciates Moorpark Veterinary Hospital’s community outreach for the county’s homeless pets.”
